Reveal Marketing Research study: 3 out of 10 Romanians say they plan to change their mobile supplier in the next 6 months
Reveal Marketing Research conducted a study between February 11th and 16th 2022, with the main objective of obtaining a set of relevant information regarding the Romanians’ perception of communication services.
Romanians, satisfied with the services they currently benefit from
Among the most appreciated services are mobile services (85%), cable tv (85%), mobile internet and landline internet (82%) but also landline services (69%).
Looking from the perspective of the income categories of the respondents, the most satisfied with these services are those with a medium to high monthly income (2000 lei +).
From the perspective of age segments, respondents over the age of 55 say they are the most satisfied with the services they currently benefit from (89%).
To what extent do Romanians intend to change their current provider of telecommunications services in the next 6 months?
Although Romanians say they are satisfied with the current services, 34% of them say they intend to change their mobile phone supplier in the next 6 months.
A significant percentage is also that of those who plan to change their cable TV provider – 28%.
Among the segments, 40% of young people between the ages of 18 and 24 say they will change their current mobile provider, compared to 32% of respondents over the age of 55 with the same response. Only 11% say they plan to change their landline provider.
And what aspects matter when choosing a supplier?
Asked about what they will take into account when choosing a new supplier, about 6 out of 10 of them say they are interested in the cost they have to pay monthly. The price is the main reason especially among the respondents in the age group of 35-44 years.
Also, previous experience with the provider has been one of the main reasons why 41% of those who consider to change their supplier.
In the next 6 months, 34% of respondents could be convinced to change their supplier also in terms of promotional offers. In fact, the Romanian consumers’ appetite for a complete / varied portfolio of products and services is 25%, which are especially desired by consumers over the age of 45.
Both medium income customers (2000-3000 lei) and those with higher incomes (over 3000 lei) are interested in the monthly cost.
