Reveal Marketing Research Study: 80% of Romanians Would Allocate a Budget of Over 4,000 lei to Enjoy a New Look of Their Home
Over 60% of Romanians choose to renovate their entire house when needed, while 24% do so periodically. Only 9% renovate their home when they see an interesting product and want to have it, according to a study conducted by Reveal Marketing Research for FERRO Group on a national sample of 1008 people.
On the first place in the top of the rooms in the house, to which Romanians pay more attention for renovation, are the bathroom and the kitchen (72%). When it comes to the changes that Romanians could make this year, 90% of respondents said that repainting is part of their priorities.
In second place, 72% of Romanians want major changes, such as changing sanitary ware (batteries, showers, etc.), followed by those who prefer to change furniture (64%), lighting system (51%) and water installation (34%).
Romanians choose to a greater extent the ease of use to the detriment of design and color criteria
Also, 68% of the respondents to this study prefer to buy home renovation products due to their ease of use. Only 43% choose products based on design and color (37%). The renovation elements most sought after by Romanians when they want to renovate their house are: the faucet in the kitchen sink and the faucet in the bathroom sink.
Regarding the amount they would be willing to invest for the faucet in the kitchen sink, 20% of the respondents said they would allocate between 151 and 200 lei, while 15% would allocate a budget between 50 and 100 lei. In the case of the faucet for the bathroom sink, 21% of the respondents would allocate a budget between 151 and 200 lei, and 15% would allocate a budget between 50 and 100 lei.
1 in 2 Romanians turn to craftsmen to renovate their house
Also, 59% of the respondents to this study prefer to turn to craftsmen for the renovation of their house. Only 9% turn to a specialized company while 25% say they will do the renovation themselves (5.8% other situation).
